This antique French Gilt Wood Plateau. Circa early 1900's. Beautifully serpentine edges, gilt is very worn on top but still shows patterns and a nice patina. See other photos. And note a small chip missing on the back edge. Measures 11 3/4" x 8 1/2".

A recent find in England! This is a pair of matching Black Forest carved wood deer head, oak leaves and acorns supporting a scalloped edge shelf. Dark, rich, chocolate brown. Minor wear, with only one flaw, the small oak leaf piece missing on the left one. But this does not distract from the overall beauty of the pair.
