Back in the 1930's to 1950's The Wade Pottery Co., in England, made these wonderful little decanters to hold the whiskey from various companies ~ much more decorative than the simple glass bottles of today! These pottery decanters have become collectors items and add just the right touch to your kitchen or bar! I've even had customers make them into lamps! This is a delicate and rare find. I purchased this exquisite piece of toile in Paris. I, and 3 other antique dealers, have dated this to be from the 1780's. It retains a lovely faded gold tones. The fabric is in very worn condition, no tears, but several holes. I see it framed, but it could be cut for a few pillows. A real beauty!
