A beautiful setting...a trail through a valley forest with the mountain range in the distance. I feel it must be spring as the trees have nice new growth, but the mountains still have a bit of snow.. I purchased this painting in Belgium at a market with lots of artists. Colors are muted pastels and deep greens and soft purples. It is signed and dated '58. A handsome look at Haystacks in a Field. Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1951. Purchased in Belgium from an art dealer. Lots of Greens and Golds with blue accents. Very peaceful scene. Measures: 16 1/4" x 10 7/8". Has had one patch repair on reverse side (see additional photos) but it does not distract from it's beauty. It appears that the artist was going to paint on the other side to begin with...interesting.
