This is an exquisitely fine painting of a rural scene of cows near a farm fence. Magnificently painted oil on canvas. Estimated Circa early 1900's. Please look at the close up photo of details. Not signed nor dated. In beautiful condition! The canvas itself measures 22" x 16". With frame, it measures 27 1/2" x 21 1/2". While the frame here is lovely with the painting, I feel it is not the original.

One of a collection of paintings that I purchased by the same artist. A friend of the artist was selling them in England. The artist died 6 years ago, and the friend/dealer was selling the last of his collection. Painted in Holland mid 1900's. This little painting is rather simplistic in composition, but still quite lovely. Unframed, in very good condition. Signed L.V. '23. Measures 11 3/4" x 14 3/4". Oil on artist board.

But you won't be alone...if you look closely, you'll see a tiny fisherman middle of the bridge. I wonder if he's caught his dinner? Pale blues and greens over a brown bridge. A Beautiful Still life Oil on wood of a bowl of grapes in pears. Purchased from an Italian dealer who loves to sell at the French markets. This is a very life like with just a touch of impressionism. It is unframed and measures: 11 3/4" x 15 3/8" . would be lovely in a kitchen or dining room. Charming, happy colors! Estimated late 1800's. Very nice condition, minor surface damage and a bit of wear on edges! Please see close ups.

A Charming Landscape I found in an Italian antique shop on the way to an equally delightful lunch. The dealer spoke very little English, I only a minimum Italian. But we managed to reach a bargain and I returned with this little treasure!
Measuring only 5 1/8" x 8", unframed. This little painting is a lovely example of Italian work from the last century.

A Lovely Vintage English Landscape. This little jewel of a painting has been hiding for years in someone's closet! When I bought it, it was in this frame, but under glass. I felt it must be a pastel. But in removing the glass to clean, I found it was an oil! Such a surprise, it needs to breath, so I left the glass out and just slipped it back into it's frame.
Such a cool scene, perhaps the artist felt the slight chill in the air and portrayed it with the pastel colors. It's certain ...click for details
