These are hand made by a little Italian lady in Venice. Vintage Burgundy and Gold Fortuny Fabric trimmed in matching velvet. Each measures 4 7/8" tall x 4 5/8" wide. Again, wandering the tiny streets and allies of Venice, I came across a minute workroom where a lady and her daughter work 10 hours a day hand making the most remarkable European lampshades! These are the beautiful half shades that you rare see in the States, but are in the finest of houses in Europe. Each shade is made of fine cotton, damasks, and brocades. Such a delightful Find! I almost kept it for myself, or my daughter! From the 1920's, purchased in England! This charming Ladies Purse. It's basically a Black Velvet Sack with a round bottom, the amazing part is the spring accordion opening. Made popular in the 1920's. It is in near perfect condition.
