This must have been the artist favorite tree, to be the center of attention in this painting. Painted by a French artist who lives in central France and paints charming landscapes at and around his home. Peaceful and sweet little scenes. This is one of the collections that I purchased from an art dealer in Paris. Take a moment to look at the others, a few would make a collection for your home! Dated on reverse August 1937. Measures: 8 5/8" x 5 1/4".Heavy Impasto.

Another lovely Landscape from the same artist that usually, but not in this case, signs his work with the initials J.G. I purchased the entire collection of his from an art dealer in France who received them from the artists niece. He lived in central France, where we believe he did a great deal of painting. This peaceful landscape was obviously painted in the Fall of the year. Though not dated, the others from this collection are from 1929-1942. Measures: 8 5/8" x 5 1/4" Oil on wood ...click for details

A Bucolic Painting from France. Typical House and barn, perhaps belonging to the artist himself. Signed with the initials J.G.. Lived in central France and painted an entire collection of landscapes at and around his home. This collection, as you will see listed here, came from an art dealer in France from the artists niece. Beautiful Vintage French Brocade Fabric Fragment. As you can see from enlargement photo, this piece used to be a chair cover. It must have been in a fabulous French Salon! Now you can use it for a pillow, etc. In slightly delicate condition, if you like the Old World Paris look, this one is for you! Measures, at longest point:23" x 21". Still has the old tacks in it!
