A Stunningly Beautiful Painting of a Majestic Deer in a Forest! This painting is from the Turn of the Century in England. Signed - J.H. Lewis. The details are wonderful and the deer is certainly the point of attention! Handsome dark colors are combined with the pastel blues and pinks of the sky and reflection in the water! The painting itself, Oil on Board, is in very nice condition. The frame, which I believe to be the original frame, has some issues and needs repairs. It is still intact and sturdy, just some pieces of the frame missing, and the painting board needs re-adjusting in the frame. Perhaps you would prefer to just have it re-framed. The framed painting measures 15 3/8" x 19 1/4". |
