Magnifique! This painting took my breath away when I saw it for sell at an art gallery outside of Paris. Circa late 1700's to early 1800's. Purchased unframed. Signed. It is a beautiful portrait, so finely painted, oil on heavy paste board. Properly framed, it would be a show stopper for any room of your Chateau! Measures 10 5/8" x 8 1/2". There is some surface damage and a repair as expected in such an old piece. But it does not distract from it's overall beauty. Please see enlargements for details. |
