Like most still life paintings from the turn of the century, this one is also fairly dark, letting the light become brighter on the subject matter while the background is dark. The background color is mostly dark shades of green, while the table the objects sit on is a very deep purple. The clay jar in the background is mostly green with burgundy rim and gold and white highlights. The fruit is true to nature in color.

This is the frame it was purchased in, though I think another frame would compliment it better. The image size is 16 1/4" x 9 1/4". A Charming piece for any room!
